How a session works
Speak, get scored, improve.
A session takes about five minutes. You practise one part of the test at a time, under the same timing as the real exam.
Speak
Short daily sessions on Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 questions, practised separately. Exam-style timing, so the pace of the real test is nothing new on the day.
Get scored
You get a transcript and band estimates on the four official criteria: Fluency and coherence, Lexical resource, Grammatical range and accuracy, Pronunciation. Every number is a practice estimate, not an official IELTS result.
Improve
NOVA works through five stages, from S1 Ideas to S5 Independent talk. Spaced review brings back what you got wrong, and NOVA memory keeps track of what you struggled with.

Bilingual scaffolding
Think in your language. Speak in English.
Ask NOVA a question in your own language and get the explanation in it. Work out the idea first, then build the English around it. Vocabulary is glossed in your language so the meaning lands before the word does.
The support is there to be outgrown. As your speaking gets stronger, hints and explanations fade, and inside timed exam sections they are off altogether. The first language is a scaffold, not the destination.

- Every score is labelled as a practice estimate, not an official IELTS result.
- No overall band is shown until there is enough evidence to support one.
- Pronunciation is labelled as an AI estimate wherever it appears.
- NOVA never writes your answer. It never supplies the idea, the argument, the example or the finished sentence.
- First-language support is on in learning flows and off inside timed exam sections.
